Mount Vesuvius • Mount Vesuvius is a volcano that erupted the city of Pompeii. • Mount Vesuvius is 4, 203 feet high. • Mount Vesuvius is still active and it is supposed to erupt every 20 years. It last erupted in 1944. • The volcano is 17, 000 years old • In 79 AD it erupted and caused a lot of damage to the city of Pompeii and is now a tourist site.
