*Alkali Metal Elements in group 1 which include Lithium (Li), Sodium (Na), Potassium (K), Rubidium, Cesium, and Francium (Fr).

Alkaline Earth Metals The elements in group 2 on the periodic table react quickly with other elements. Examples include Magnesium (Ma) and Calcium (Ca).

Transition Metals The elements in group 3 -12 include a wide array of elements such as Iron (Ferrous) (Fe), Titanium (Ti), and Gold (Au).

Metal/Nonmetal Metal: an element generally shiny, is a good conductor, and is malleable. Nonmetal: Elements that have no metallic properties.
