Timelines • Allow between two to three minutes per slide, as a general rule of thumb • For a half-hour talk, 20 slides are definitely more than enough • Never have more than 30 slides for 50 minute talk
Content • For each slide, ask yourself, “What do I want to convey to the audience with this slide? ” and tell the audience just that NO MORE, NO LESS!
Images, Sound Clips, and Videos • Using additional media can add a great deal to your presentation, but it can also detract or distract • Only use relevant images, sounds and videos • Don’t include them simply for the sake of it
