Vista View Resto is one of the must-try restaurants in Davao City. As the name suggests, it offers not only good food but a great vista/view of Davao City from atop a hill in Barangay Langub in uptown Davao.

The restaurant boasts of serving the best Filipino food with the best view of Davao. The view is indeed astounding and may even include Samal Island across the Davao Gulf on a clear day.

Vista View Resto looks out into the Maharlika Highway and downtown Davao City spread out in the distance. Close to the restaurant are upscale residential areas.

Nearby Samal Island, where plenty of stunning beaches can be enjoyed, can also be viewed from Vista View Resto. From this vantage point, one can see that Davao City is still very green despite being modern.

Vista View Resto offers both outdoor and indoor dining areas. They also have separate nipa huts for guests who would like a more private dining experience. All areas provide excellent views of Davao City.

Vista View Resto serves classic Filipino food including sinigang, bulalo, kare-kare, gambas, and barbecue. Their grilled items have the signature Filipino style and their popular Boodle Bilao is a must-try for big groups.

Also on offer are local favorites like the sinuglaw (pictured) which is made of raw fish and grilled meat cooked in vinegar and spices. Vista View Resto also serves exotic crocmeat based dishes.

There is a small bar/café that serves liquor and homegrown coffee. The Altura coffee from Mt. Apo is an excellent blend and so is Civet Coffee or Kopi Luwak, known to be the most expensive kind of coffee in the world.

Vista View Resto is a very photogenic spot. Almost every angle is great for a photo especially the spot where the colorful DAVAO letters are located. No guest leaves the restaurant without taking the obligatory selfie at this spot.

Vista View Resto is open from 10 AM to 11 PM all days of the week. They provide live entertainment for weekend dinner guests who come to see the blanket of lights that Davao City becomes during the night.
