Key Messages – John Hattie Success is all around us – identify the successes that are around us – what are we doing right? It is not about starting from scratch. . . Where is your school – work on looking at where the success is and building a guiding coalition of success – work together. Teachers understanding impact and working together to have an impact. Higher probability of success if you evaluate your impact. You could implement the top/key things but miss the message. Evaluate your impact – Know Thy Impact

Key Messages – My Experience There is no one way of doing visible learning, there is no cookbook – clear from looking at different schools and their journey’s. One size – does not fit all. Embrace this, your journey will be unique, it is exciting! What does your evidence tell you? Listen to it and react, might not always tell us what we want to hear – use the evidence to make your own path. Professional Reading – Reading Hattie’s book opened up so many chains of thought – inspired me to read more from a variety of different professionals. Shift in thinking – thinking about the learning process – what do the pupils need to do to achieve the final outcome – what does success look like and how will we get there.
Key Messages – My Experience Small changes have made a huge difference – taking the time to listen to what the learners are telling you and not being afraid to act on it – whether positive or negative. Changing mindsets – started with my own mindset - It is about pupils exceeding their expectations not just meeting them – set the bar high and for yourself too. Creating a learning culture where pupils have the right vocabulary, understating of the learning process and the correct mindset. Networking and looking to others for advice and ideas – twitter Blogging – great way to reflect and look at impact – Know Thy Impact
