VSI: Access Control Feature • What Access Control is available today? – Storage Admin gives storage system username and password to VMware Admin – Username and password has rights to all storage pools and all array functions • What is the new Access Control mechanism? – Storage Admin creates an “Access Profile” and transfers it to the VMware Administrator – VMware Administrator uploads the Access Profile into VSI – VSI provisioning limited to storage from pools defined in the Access Profile © Copyright 2010 EMC Corporation.
