Virtual Precipitate Lab In a precipitate lab you
Virtual Precipitate Lab - In a precipitate lab, you get six unknown chemicals and some information on the colors of some precipitates. A precipitate is formed when two solutions are mixed together and one of the products is insoluble in water. You then mix each of the chemicals with all of the others and record the ones which react and the ones which don’t. - Everything will be the same in this virtual lab, except that you won’t be mixing any chemicals (physically). Press the space bar to continue.
Lab instructions You need to combine each of the six chemicals with the other five. If you’ve already mixed A with B, you don’t need to mix B with A. Possible chemicals (in no order) Precipitate Colors Sodium carbonate Barium sulfate-White (2) Barium chloride Copper hydroxide-Dark blue Sodium hydroxide Copper carbonate-Light blue Potassium iodide Barium carbonate-White Sodium sulfate Copper iodide-Yellow/brown Copper sulfate You will be able to return here later. Press space bar.
Laboratory Layout Click a red square to mix those chemicals. Then a green square when you’ve tried them all. Done!! Let’s try the solution. Go back to the list of chemicals Click here to see what they all look like
