WHO WERE THE VIKINGS? The Vikings were the people who lived from the 8

WHO WERE THE VIKINGS? The Vikings were the people who lived from the 8 th century to the 11 th century in Scandinavia. They came from what today is Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. During the Viking age, they sailed around most of Europe, raiding, trading and spreading their influence.

However, in 2017 a DNA study of a Viking warrior grave claimed the deceased was actually female. Although the study has since been refuted, many still believe the sagas.
