Unit 2 Animal planet Listening Prior to doing the listening exercise, students are asked

Unit 2 Animal planet Listening Prior to doing the listening exercise, students are asked to decide whether some statements are fact or myth, thus inviting students to check their knowledge of the animal world and to discuss about it. Students listen to five speaker talking about a conservation project they are currently involved in. Upon listening, students check their understanding of the heard by completing an exercise in which they are supposed to state the purpose of each project and challenges met during the projects. 2

Some of the words can also be used to describe groups of people or things. Those words are: flight (of stairs, of birds) colony (of ants, e. g. a former colony of a country) flock (of sheep, of people (religion), flock as a verb) herd (of cattle, talking about people) pack (of wolves, of paparazzi, pack used to express quantity) swarm (of grasshoppers, of bees, of people) 4
