СOMMERCIAL DAIRY FARM FOR 4, 000 HEADS OF CATTLE, INCLUDING 2, 000 MILK COWS Project initiator: Sakaloŭščyna Joint-stock Company, Vierchniadźvinsk District Executive Committee: Project goal: to set up a milk production facility with estimated capacity of at least 15, 000 tons of milk annually and create 28 new jobs. Annual sales revenues are estimated at $4. 5 million. Initiators’ contribution: 29 -hectare plot of land for construction; a business plan is prepared; guaranteed demand for the output from local milk processors; preferences for businesses registered in rural areas. Investor’s participation: a share in the equities. Investor’s contribution: construction of a robotised commercial dairy farm, purchase of farm machinery and young livestock. Expected investment: $31 million, including $12 million for the purchase of equipment and $4 million for the purchase of high- yielding cattle. PAYBACK PERIOD: 13 TO 15 YEARS.
