VERBALS • Verbals are verb forms used as another part of speech. The traveling circus allowed us the chance to see the dancing elephants.
Three types of verbals: • GERUNDS – Verb forms ending in –ing and are used as a noun. Running is good exercise. • PARTICIPLES – A verb form used as an adjective The running water flooded the basement. • INFINITIVES – The base form of the verb used with the word “to” To run every day is good for your health.
