Important to Know: • We eliminate prepositional phrases because they will NOT contain the subject, verb, direct object, indirect object, predicate noun, nor predicate adjective. • Sentences do NOT have to have prepositional phrases. Indirect objects are rare. • Remember: The subject of ALL imperative sentences (commands) is the “understood you. ” Example: Complete the assignment. (You!)
