What is a Vegan? One who doesn't use or eat any animal products. Some foods they cant eat are: Jell-O, marshmallows, honey, pizza, meat, milk. Products you cant use: Leather, snake skin boots, herbal essences and dove.
App One app that I found helpful was called 21 days, it gave me different meals for 7 days with the recipes and directions included.

Daily meal Breakfast ~Whole wheat bagel with peanut butter, roasted almonds, fruit smoothie made with soy milk. Lunch ~Whole wheat pita bread with hummus, water, cooked quinoa, banana. Snack ~banana with almond milk. Dinner ~Salad made with lettuce, tomato, carrots, spinach, beans, soy milk, edamame beans. Snack ~Sherbet ice cream
nd 2 Day Breakfast ~ Oatmeal made with soymilk, blueberries and strawberries. Chocolate soy milk with a banana. Lunch ~ Burrito with beans and soy yogurt. Snack ~ Celery Dinner ~ Soy burger with peppers and 100% whole wheat bun. Snack ~ Apple
nd 3 Day Breakfast ~ soy yogurt with strawberries, pineapple and soy milk. Lunch ~ Sandwich with avocado, tomato's, sprouts, cucumbers and water. Snack ~ peanuts Dinner ~ Pasta with tomato sauce and spinach Snack ~Blackberries and carrots
Challenges A challenge vegans face is cravings. What do you do when you crave chocolate, you cant just go to the nearest gas station any more to eat the savory chocolate everyone loves. If you want chocolate you need to buy one specially made vegan which can be a bit pricy. Going out to eat there might be vegetarian options but not as many vegan ones. Some times you might just have to call in advance to ask the cook to substitute butter with vegetable oil or avocados or even vegan hummus instead of cheese. Some people also struggle with finding the sources of protean to meet there daily diets, but after time it gradually gets easier.
