How to create a scale • • • Use a ruler to draw a 1 inch by 7 inch rectangle. Use a ruler to divide the rectangle into 7 equal blocks One end of the scale will be the darkest value (black). The other end of the scale will be white. Each of the center blocks should show the gray value scale making a transition from light to black. Each block must be a different value.
