VETERANS AFFAIRS NURSING ACADEMIC PARTNERSHIPS (VANAP) v 5 -year Pilot Program v Two distinct pathways with a special focus either on undergraduate (VANAP-U) or graduate (VANAP-GE) education v Objectives: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Increasing student enrollment and clinical training capacity; Enhancing VA VANAP faculty competencies and professional scholarship; Promoting innovation in education; Revising academic curriculum to include Veteran specific health problems; Developing Interprofessional education; Developing Veteran-centric practice and education initiatives. 1. Twenty-four (24) VANAP programs were/are funded by OAA: § Seventeen (17) VANAP-U sites, including eight Phase I VANAP legacy sites, which maintained the program beyond the five-year period of central funding § Seven (7) VANAP-GE sites. Home, Providence § AY 2015 -2016/ Cohort IV: Miami, Northern California, North Texas § AY 2017 -2018/ Cohort V: Birmingham, Portland, West Haven v National Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) Accreditation: § Eleven (11) sites are accredited § One (1) site is awaiting an accreditation decision § Five (5) sites are preparing for application/onsite evaluation.
