Competency Levels Based on Skill Set and Experience Level 1 • Beginning Official; capable of controlling youth, middle school, and lower level high school games. Level 2 Level 3 • Experienced Official; capable of controlling youth, middle school and high school varsity and JV level games. Proficient in the twoperson system. • Experienced Official; capable of controlling youth, middle school, all levels of high school and low level college games. Competent in three-person system.
USL Official Certification Path As an Adult Official Your path is determined by your skill set. If your skills lie in a particular level then you will start there.
