What timetables do we know about? ? ? Timetables are used to help people organise their time. Can you think of any examples of timetables? Think of any times you or your family have used them and why they were helpful. ? ?

? Task 1: Class weekly timetable ? Look carefully at the timetable and answer these questions in your jotter: 1. How many times does P 4 do Guided Reading in a week? 2. On which day is PE? 3. On which day and at what time is swimming? 4. How long is the French lesson? 5. How long is the writing lesson on a Thursday?

Train Timetable- Answers Look carefully at the train timetable. It shows the names of the stations that the train stops at, in order, and the times it arrives at each one. ? Look carefully at the TV Guide. It shows the starting time of TV programs on 2 different channels. When the next program starts, you count that as the finishing time for the program before, eg. Casualty starts at 7. 30 pm and finishes at 8. 15 pm, when the News and Weather starts. Therefore it is 45 minutes long. Please answer these questions in your jotter: 1.
