Using the Requester's Workbench Step 1 Begin by navigating to the Requester's Work. Bench page. Click the Vertical scrollbar.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 2 Click the Purchasing menu.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 3 Click the Requisition menu.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 4 Click the Requester's Workbench menu.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 5 Click the Search button.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 6 When using the Requester's Workbench, first select the desired requisitions. Use the Filter Options page to select attributes to search for requisitions.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 7 Click in the Requisition field.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 8 To save time and resources, it is recommended that you always enter some selection criteria to reduce the number of records retrieved. This is especially useful in a high-volume environment. In addition, keep in mind that the workbench can be saved and the saved criteria is reusable. Enter the desired information into the Requisition field. Enter "000001".
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 9 Enter the desired information into the To field. Enter "000020".
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 10 Click the Pending Appr option.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 11 Click the Search button.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 12 Use the Requester's Workbench page to analyze, approve, unapprove, cancel, close, and budget check requisitions.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 13 Click a linked requisition ID to access the corresponding Requisitions inquiry page. Click the Requisition ID link.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 14 Review the detail information and Click the Back button.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 15 Click the Doc Status button for the selected requisition to access the Req DOC Status inquiry page for the requisition.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 16 Click the Lines button for the selected requisition to access the Requisition Lines page. Click the Lines button.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 17 Use the Requisition Lines page to select or clear requisition lines.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 18 You can use the Select All or Clear All links to select or clear all rows in one step.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 19 Click a line number to access the schedule for the line.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 20 Click the Return to Requester's Workbench link to include the selected requisition lines in further processing. Click the Return to Requester's Workbench link.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 21 Click the 000000013 option.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 22 Click the Close button to close the selected requisitions to further processing. When you close the requisition, click the Override button to move not qualified requisitions in the Not Qualified group box to be qualified for the action in the Qualified group box. When closing the requisition, the system displays this button, which you can click to override the edits on selected lines that are not qualified if you have the authority to do so. This makes the lines available for closing and moves the lines to the qualified side. Requisitions that are associated with purchase orders which have not yet been closed will not be qualified for override.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 23 Click the Budget Check button to initiate the Commitment Control Budget Processor process for the selected requisitions.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 24 Click one of the following buttons to perform actions on the requisitions that you have selected for processing: • Approve: Click to change the status of the selected requisitions to Approved. • Unapprove: Click to change the status of the selected requisitions to Open. • Cancel: Click to cancel the selected requisitions and all lines. Click the Unapprove button.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 25 Use the Processing Results page to review the qualified and non qualified results returned when you take an action on selected requisitions.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 26 Click the Log button to access the Processing Log page. This page is a log for the selected nonqualified requisition that states why the requisition was not qualified for the previous processing action.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 27 Click the No button to cancel the processing.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 28 Click the Yes button to proceed with the processing of the qualified requisitions. The system prompts you to confirm this selection.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 29 Click Return to Requester's Workbench to return to the workbench page
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 30 Click the Approval tab.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 31 Click the 000011 option.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 32 The Send Approval Reminders button sents reminders to all the Approvers with whom the Requisition is pending. Reminders will be sent in the form of email, worklist or both, depending on the set up in transaction configuration. Click the Send Approval Reminder button.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 33 You will see a notification messageon the screen that the reminder has been sent for thr selected requisitions. Click the OK button.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 34 The system updates the approved requisition to an Open status. Click the Save button to save the selected requisitions. Click the Save button.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 35 Click the Set filter options link to access the Filter Options page, where you can enter selection criteria for a new subset of requisitions to review, modify, or act upon.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 36 Click the View Processing Results link to access the Processing Results page, where you can view the results of the actions that you have performed.
Using the Requester's Workbench Step 37 You have successfully analyzed and unapproved a requisition. End of Procedure.
