Purpose of Integrated Information Technology (IIT) • Acquisition and Systematization of Data on Marine Environment • Information Supporting Marine Activities: – analysis and interpretation of hydrometeorological and other processes – supporting decision making

Decisions of IIT development Standards data formats, data model, interfaces, . . . Modern Instrumental Systems GIS, DBMS, computing network, . . . Full Cycle of Data Processing acquisition calculation and analysis accumulation dissemination

Use of IIT Decision Making, Planning, Management Environmental Data Acts and Rules Methods and Models New Information

Functional Subsystems Archived Data Bank (ADB) Integrated Data Bank (IDB) Problem - Oriented Applications (POA) Background Impact Monitoring . . .

Archived data bank Role: u accumulation, inventorying, documenting and storage of data u digitizing and unification using common standards u preparation of data files for loading into IDB subsystem

Integrated data bank Role u unification and integration of data u centralized management of system information holding u information supporting POA subsystem u connection with external information systems data

Integrated Data Base The data management in IDB and POA subsystems is based on exchange procedures of elementary data units in client-server architecture Name Td Td Td Level 4 4 4 Ref td cotdl 200. doc cotidal. dll dstdc 001. bmp Tidal Description Cotidal maps Method of calculation Executable module Isoamplitudes of M 2 Tidal data Type Book Doc Exe Bmp Table Kind Open Doc Exe Bmp Tbl Code none 200 108 109 The GIS application data management is carryed out using a special link-tables

Integrated Data Base The data present in a different form (factografical, textual, graphic, spatial) and placed in the external and internal (relative to GIS) data base are jointly used by applying a Navigator link table and an internal attributive table of GIS application. Problem-Oriented Applications POA Structure Analytical Moduls Interface Stadards External Data Base Arc. View GIS, Spatial Analyst, ÃÈÑ Dialog Desinger, Map. Objects, Delphi, VBS Output resultsÿ

Today we are using two ways for POA: • Avenue + Arc. View + Dialog Designer + Spatial Analyst • Delphi+Map. Objects

Problem-Oriented Applications Elecltronic reference Books ERB - integration information technology of reception of a full set of characteristics of the sea natural environment with a view of operative maintenance of users
