Tutorial • Help Menu. . . Nvu Tutorial • Contents. . . Introduction • Copy the sample text to the main window
Make a Page – Markup • Select some piece of the sample text – (it MAY select a whole line or paragraph) • Choose format, font, color. . . from toolbar
Make a Page – Links • External – Type in a URL: http: //whatever. com/ – Use the “Link” tool – Auto formats the URL • Internal – Highlight some text (eg. References) – Use the “Link” tool – Enter a file name – check “URL is relative. . . ” – (later) make a file with that same name
Make a Page – Images • Use the “Image” tool • Find your local image
Make a Page – Tables / Bullets • • Table tool Drag to form a template (rows and columns) Click a cell to enter text Slide bars to the top and left to resize • Highlight text • Numbered or Lettered list
Publishing • Nvu Publishing – won’t work – no SFTP • Use SFTP that comes with SSH • Copy the entire contents of your local site – but not the root • Put everything in the public_html folder
