What is a connective? A connective is a word which joins two parts of a sentence. and but These are both connectives. We use them to join two sentences together.
I have a cat called Sooty. I have a hamster called George. Both of these sentences make sense on their own but they are very short and simple. We can join them together using a conjunction. I have a cat called Sooty and I have a hamster called George.
I like going to the cinema. and My my sister likes going to the shops. The girl had long blonde hair. and She she wore a purple dress. It is cold outside. and It’sit’s making me shiver.
