Sample I feel sorry for her. She has few friends. (negative idea from that sentences is “ she does not have many friend or we can said that she has almost no friends) If you used “very” before ”few”…………. . she has very few friends. It means that she is exactly does not has friends.

LITTLE FUNCTION • Little used to express a negative idea; they indicate that something is largely absent. • like ”few”. If you add “very” before ”little” so the meaning sentence is stronger. Sample I have little money. I don’t even have enough money to buy food for dinner. Negative idea: I do not have much money or another statement you can said “ I have almost no money”
