On 27 September 2010, the regulation of over 50, 000 pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy premises in Great Britain transferred from the RPSGB to the GPh. C.

What’s new? • Independent regulator with fully appointed Council – 50% lay & 50% registrants • No non-practising register • A new system of registration renewals including the ‘rolling register’ concept • Premises standards and rules • Fewer statutory committees • Emergency registration of people & premises • EEA-registered temporary service providers
Since September • CPD rules • Consultation on 2011 -12 fees rules • Moving to the standard renewals timetable
