Banner 8 Upgrade? What’s an upgrade? ◦ A process to replace all or part of a current system with improved functionality and performance. What is it NOT? ◦ Not a full implementation like we completed in FY 2009. Why upgrade? ◦ Support for Banner 7 will discontinue at the end of FY 2010. This is a normal process for a vendor ◦ We also want to take advantage of new functionality in the Banner 8 version.
Downtime Banner System will come down March 10 th 5: 00 p. m. (ct) The system will come back up March 16 th 8: 00 a. m. (ct) System is down Thursday (3/11), Friday 3/12), and Monday 3/15).

So…what CAN I do? View Cognos reports ◦ Data will be from close of business on 3/10/2010. ◦ Refreshed data will be available on 3/17/2010 for close of business 3/16/2010 Processes that are still a form (paper, excel, adobe forms) ◦ These will be held by the Finance and Admin offices until Banner comes up
