Youth Employment Initiative So far: • Sep 2017: increase proposed in MFF mid-term review • Jun 2017: Agreed by Council and Parliament at 1. 2 billion + 1. 2 billion ESF matching • Oct 5: Amendment to legal basis (Common Provisions Regulation, CPR) proposed by COM • Oct 9: Member States informed of eligible regions and amounts Next steps: • The YEI must be programmed: preparation of amendments to the Operational Programmes and the Partnership Agreements underway • Once the CPR amendment enters into force (foreseen end Nov), Implementing Decision setting out eligible regions and amounts will be adopted • OP/PA amendments can be adopted 7
