Kautz Road Sub-station (KRS) Repair Problem: • We have a fault condition for Kautz Road sub-station, negative battery ground. To fix this condition we must de-energize KRS The Plan: • Back-feed MI service buildings from MSS feeder 24. • Back-feeder 46 A from MSS for A 0 Compressor building, (MC-1 cryo). • However, feeder 82/85 pulsed power for MI 60 RF Anode supplies, will remain down for the duration of the repair, estimated 2 -3 days. Impacted Areas: • MI buildings and tunnels, MI 12 (BNB beam line enclosures), and A 0 Compressor building When: • Tuesday, June 11, 0700 HRS – 07: 00 HRS, Power down A 0 compressor building for 15 minutes to back-feed from MSS feeder 46 A at. (Can remain in this configuration until summer shutdown. ) – 07: 30 HRS, Switch-off MI service buildings for 20 minutes to back-feed from MSS feeder 24. – At the conclusion of the work, another 20 -minute outage will occur to switch KRS back to normal configuration. – The time and date will be determined by FESS after the repair is made and weather conditions permitting. – Power from the MSS will not be interrupted during the feeder manipulation. 3 Patrick Karns | Accelerator Status 06/07/2019
