Then, fold your elongated handouts in half to form a booklet. � After that, open to the annotations key on page 49 of your I. A. N. � � Read steps one and two of the instructions under “Unpack the Writing Task”. � Read BOTH passages and complete steps 1 & 2. � Tomorrow – Classroom Spelling Bee!

Language Arts – Work Session 01/09/18 � Essential Questions: How can I reflect what I’ve learned in the second quarter? � Standard: ELASE 6 RL 3 – Describe how a particular story’s or drama’s plot unfolds in a series of episodes as well as how the characters respond or change as the plot moves toward a resolution. � Learning Targets: Define the concept of change through the reading of a narrative. Apply understanding of narrative elements to reading and writing.

N. to annotate as you read each passage. � Step 2 – Underline the topic and circle both positions of the prompt. (A position is the way an author feels about a topic. ) � After reading both prompts and completing steps one and two, read and complete steps three and four. � Keep all of your materials in your writing portfolio folder. � If you do not finish in class, you must finish all of today’s steps for homework. � If you finish early, you may read independently.
