Project: Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Goal Promote UAS technology for applications that benefit IEEE AESS members UAS University Projects Fraunhofer, Wachtberg, Germany, Missouri Institute of Science and Technology, Rolla, MO and Jackson State University, Jackson MS. IEEE provides materials, but does not facilitate operation. Funding total = $5 k. Objective is to develop a UAV with a test plan and provide test results. Deadline for reports is 30 -June-2016. Project Success - Metrics Increase UAS activity for AESS to grow membership by 5% annually 4 Progress Milestone Target Completion % Complete Germany: Hexacopter built. Test plan developed. Testing is not complete 30 June 2016 50% MIST has the least UAS/UAV experience but is working with three students to complete the quadcopter test plan with monthly calls from Dennis Lott, HINDS Community College Aviation Instructor who integrated the DJI F 450 quadcopters 30 June 2016 30% 30 June 2016 25% Jackson State University flight programs have been delayed Budget / Resources 2015: $5, 000 All funding has been spent.
