The Earth is Under A Curse Genesis 4: 10 -12 (NAS) 10 He said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood is crying to Me from the ground. 11 Now you are cursed from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand. 12 When you cultivate the ground, it will no longer yield its strength to you; you will be a vagrant and a wanderer on the earth. ”

The Earth is Under A Curse Genesis 3: 17 b-19 (NAS) 17 … Cursed is the ground because of you; In toil you will eat of it All the days of your life. 18 “Both thorns and thistles it shall grow for you; And you will eat the plants of the field; 19 By the sweat of your face You will eat bread, Till you return to the ground, Because from it you were taken; For you are dust, And to dust you shall return. ”

Death enters the Earth “… In that day you shall surely die” • Did they die that day? • Death entered mankind • All die from the death of that day • Death enters not only into Mankind • But Deaths enter the WORLD

Death enters the Earth Romans 5: 12 (NLT) When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned.

The Earth is Under A Curse • The earth did not escape the judgment of the Fall. The original condition of nature, which was perfect, began to degenerate after the Fall. Thorns and thistles will now come from the ground that was formerly good. The Bible says that the thorn, like the serpent, is the natural enemy of humanity. The thorn is used in Scripture as a symbol of evil. ~ Pastor Don Stewart

The Earth is Under A Curse Isaiah 24: 5 -6 a (NAS) 5 The earth is also polluted by its inhabitants, for they transgressed laws, violated statutes, broke the everlasting covenant. 6 a Therefore, a curse devours the earth, and those who live in it are held guilty… • Earth is filled with Injustice.

Romans 8: 18 -22 (NAS) 18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. 19 For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope

Romans 8: 18 -22 (NAS) 21 that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now.

Creation is Groaning • Earth was subjected to futility (Greek word) (KJV-vanity)mataiotēs – what is devoid of truth and appropriateness, perverseness, depravity, frailty

Creation is Groaning • But in Hope - that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God • Creation Groans • When the Sons get restored so will all creation • Until now • Is creation going through suffering today

Creation is Groaning • In Romans 8: 21, Paul explains that the entire universe, held under the curse, eagerly longs for the day when it will join with God’s children in glorious liberation from death and decay. Paul is speaking of the new heavens and new earth when “no longer will there be any curse” (Revelation 22: 3). The curse of sin will be lifted, and all creation will be restored to the Eden-like reflection of God’s glory (Isaiah 65: 17; 66: 22; 2 Peter 3: 13). “‘There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away” (Revelation 21: 4)

Romans 8: 23 -25 (NAS) 23 And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body. 24 For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.
