The Faculty has a total of 5, 000 students.

FACULTY OF EDUCATION Teacher Education at the University of Gothenburg • UKÄ (Swedish Higher Education Authority) has given University of Gothenburg the right to all degrees, specializations and subjects within the teacher education. • New organization for teacher education at the University of Gothenburg, July 1, 2016. • Faculty of Education is coordinating most of the teacher education, decides about who is course responsible institutions, educational plans etc. For each of the programs has also been appointed a co-responsible faculty.

FACULTY OF EDUCATION Some of our bigger commissions - 1 The National Assessment Project (NAFS), at the University of Gothenburg, is commissioned by The Swedish National Agency for Education to develop all national tests and other assessment materials in English, French, German and Spanish as foreign languages that are used within the Swedish school system.

FACULTY OF EDUCATION Some of our bigger commissions - 2 • Department of Pedagogical, Curricular and Professional Studies, IDPP, develop national tests and other assessment materials in Social Science and Science Subjects, commissioned by The Swedish National Agency for Education. • Since 2015 the National School Leadership Training Programme, a stateregulated professional training programme for school heads, is positioned at Department of Education and Special Education, IPS.
