Roadrunner Days IEEE was present at Roadrunner Days; an assembly sponsored by UTSA for incoming underclassmen to allow them to experience college life as well as meet with the different organizations IEEE used this event with the goal to enhance interest of Electrical Engineering as well as our organization to the new students with the hope of increasing our members both in our IEEE branch as well as membership in our Robotics and Circuit Design Teams We gave out: fliers, t-shirts, pencils, show them robots and circuits our teams have built, talk about upcoming events, as well as on location registering to IEEE.
Issues Funding Scalability for Robotics Team Inefficient funds budgeted last year for Robotics Team expansion E. g. Creating new robots/workshops for members to learn fundamentals Reasons: Under budgeted for Robotics Team Outlook: Increased budget for the team per collaboration with officers and robotics team. Will learn from past mistakes and move on from there.
Conclusion Great success for Robotics Team at R 5 Competition More funding will be put toward the Robotics Team and Technical Workshops Partake in more collaboration events/meetings that will benefit the engineering student body as a whole Become more active in the engineering student council to not only promote IEEE to fellow engineering organizations but also an opportunity to network with student leaders for future collaboration.
