OVERVIEW This document defines the University of San Francisco’s additional campus model for current and future academic locations. It aligns with the university’s identity standards and brand communications.
WHAT’S CHANGED To comply with WSCUC accreditation: “Branch / Branches” terminology will be eliminated: WSCUC defines a "branch" as an autonomous campus. USF is adopting “Additional Campuses” as the official term, defined as “outside of the main campus” (beyond the Hilltop). Acceptable terms: “Additional campus(es)” – i. e. , Pleasanton, San Jose “Additional location(s)” - i. e. , Santa Rosa “Beyond the Hilltop”

NON-CAMPUS LOCATION Locations not meeting the conditions for campus designation do not merit a unique naming identity and should use the university’s “primary logo. ” In these instances, the location can be communicated in marketing materials, identified in the document’s title headline, ad, brochure, and other marketing vehicles.

ADDITIONAL CAMPUS MODEL 1. To meet current and future growth requirements, an additional campus model has been adopted by the university to expand academic programs and services beyond the Hilltop Campus across the Bay Area and State of California. 2. Additional campuses offer a variety of academic programs that we bring to the same level of quality. 3. Additional campuses also offer a range of services that vary by site.
