• Other Projects and Initiatives Overhauled the Dental Unit Water Delivery System Ø Ø The system in place before I took on this role was failing. I switched all the chairs in the clinics to a new water delivery system. Water testing was done with DEHS to document that the school met CDC standards. Quarterly water testing is now done throughout the school to monitor the system. • Tracking of Basic Life Support (BLS) Training Ø The existing database for tracking training and licenses was not secure. Ø We now have a new secure database and I have transferred training records. • Provided TB Testing to Personnel through the Occupational Medicine Program Ø I have done 2 programs that were well-attended and plan to make this a regular event in the TB Policy. • Quality Indicators Ø I worked with division chairs to define the quality indicators they wish to track. Ø I assign quarterly sets of charts to review for quality measures. Ø Data is analyzed and quality improvements are made when needed. • SDS Database Ø I updated documents from MSDS format to SDS format for reagents found in the clinics. Ø The SDS database is now available on the intranet • Clinic Manual and Infection Control Manual Ø The manuals have been updated and posted on-line and in the clinics.
