Safety & Security on Campus • The safety and security of students is a primary concern of the University of Haifa and of the University of Richmond • The University of Haifa has a crisis management and evacuation plan in place • All campus and dormitory entrances are guarded – keeps all “undesirables” off campus • All off-campus activities are organized and run in consultation with the relevant security authorities.
Cost & Finances � Pay UR tuition for semester/year study abroad � Room/board on local economy (you pay Haifa costs) � Personal travel—single biggest expense (try to limit or save in advance) • Federal, state, & institutional financial aid can be used on UR semester/year programs • Additional scholarships available (OIE and external) • Reimbursements/allowances granted as well
Application Process • Online application: http: //studyabroad. richmond. edu *Two letters of recommendation, essay, questionnaires, transcript, etc. • Deadlines: *Fall/Year study abroad – late January *Spring study abroad – mid September • Fee: *No fee to apply. However, a $200 late fee may be charged if the application requirements are not submitted by the posted deadlines.
