UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS Article 18. Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.
Young student Pedro was raised up as a Catholic because his parents were believers into Catholic Roman Church.
When he was just a kid he never asked himself if this is the right religion for him, but when he has grown up this question was often on his mind.
In his spare time he has a job, where he work really hard (he want to earn some money for journey). Otherwise he was very good student.
After he finished his University he went on a trip in a Europe. He started his journey in Italy. Of course he was in Vatican and Rome and the third day he came to Naples.
Because during his arrival to Naples was already night, he went in a nearer hotel where he took a room. But something happened. As he saw a pretty young receptionist Lorella he felt in love on a first sight.
They really enjoyed their time together; Pedro knew that there is something more between him and Lorella. She was very frank, honest, as him in love and what was the most important for him, without obstacles.
Pedro proposed her and in a few days they were married. They were both very happy, but Pedro knew that he must go back on Portugal and tell his family that he is now a married man. . .
When Pedro and Lorella came to Portugal and when Pedro introduced Lorella to his parents they were in shock. But that was not all; Pedro's parents refused Lorella because she was foreigner and mostly because she was an atheist. Pedro was on a cross-road either to chose family either Lorella.
n n This was the main discussion where audience discusses what Pedro should do. RESULT: Audience has decided that Pedro must be faithful to his own decisions and that family made a mistake because of giving that ultimate to Pedro (this wasn’t catholic decision at all).
