Introduction ESDT is a diagnostic tool which helps the administrator configure and trouble shoot the issues related to the external services and accounts (Exchange 2003/2007, MPE 2. x and MP 7. 0) ESDT is available from UC admin which can be triggered on demand, as well as a Sys. Checked Items Two levels of check: 1. System level: • Network connectivity of the server (ping, DNS lookup) • Service port availability – non-secure, SSL (SSL connection and certificate validation if configured) • Service configurations 2. User level: • Everything listed in 1 • ESA configuration and related system configuration e. g. COS • Make service API calls using underlying calendaring interface ( validate service credentials (if configured to be used) and user credentials, make simple API call e. g. get message count, etc) © 2006 Cisco Systems, Inc.
