ERM has the capability to copy results from one reporting group and merge them into a different reporting group. Election officials can use this same functionality to copy results from ERM in Unity 3. 0. 1. 1 and then merge those results into ERM in Unity 3. 4. 0. 0. So although it will require some additional steps, it is still possible to use i. Votronics and/or M 100 s with modems, and combine the results from those devices with those from DS 200 s and/or DS 850 s.

FYI: SBE Voting Systems staff are currently reviewing Unity 3. 4. 0. 1, which adds DS 200 modem functionality (but still no M 100 modem functionality). Because the firmware does not permit modem operation in a tabulator set up for Early Voting use, this will really only affect counties which may eventually replace their Election Day tabulators.
