Basic Facts about UN-NYG Started in 2012, but became a dormant organization in 2015 Restarted this year, with a new passion for becoming a long term, sustainable organization Among other objectives, we provide a voice for young professionals at Vienna-based UN orgs – particularly IAEA iync. org
Nuclear Outlook for UN-NYG Though young professionals are generally underrepresented at the Vienna-based UN orgs, we still have access to a large pool of potential members (~400) Don’t share risk of losing members due to changes in nuclear industry with countries Many of our potential members are temporary staff, who are not necessarily from a nuclear background Currently have around 150 young professionals on our mailing list, with an average activity attendance of ~40 iync. org
UN-NYG Activities “Talk to the DDG” Round table discussion with Deputy Director General of IAEA Management, Ms Mary Alice Hayward Soon will have an event with DDG of Nuclear Energy Nuclear 101 Mentoring Program for members not from a nuclear background Cornerstone activity in development Tours of IAEA facilities IAEA Incident and Emergency Center IAEA Labs at Seibersdorf, Austria (coming soon) iync. org
