READING COMPREHENSION. 1.

II. QUESTION TAGS: They are short questions at the end of a sentence to confirm information. Communicating your agreement with what people say… … or expressing that two situations are similar… is an important skill to practice in English. I enjoyed the fireworks! So did I.
EXAMPLES: Peter has been to London. So have I. Peter ha estado en Londres. Yo también.
AFFIRMATIVE SENTENCES: SO AUX (or BE) Subject I love ice cream! So does my sister “love” is a verb, not an auxiliary or verb BE, so you have to add the auxiliary (present tense=does/do)
NEGATIVE SENTENCES: When we agree with something someone says, and the statement is negative, we use: Neither or Either. I didn’t understand the message! I didn’t, either. Neither did I.
STRUCTURE: My sister can’t play the piano well. Neither can I. Notice the structure! Subject (-) AUX or BE either Neither (+) AUX or BE Subject Cuando la oración es positiva utilizamos SO+AUXILIAR+SUJETO Cuando la oración es negativa utlilizamos NEITHER+AUXILIAR+SUJETO
EXAMPLES: 1. Tom hasn’t been to Paris. Neither have I. 2. Ana didn’t come to class on Friday. Neither did I. 3. Sophie likes skiing. So do I 4. I didn’t go out last night. Neither did my sister 5. I cook the dinner everyday. So does Mary
