Speed Interview Procedure ØThere an inner circle and outer circle group. ØInner circle will not move! ØOuter circle moves to the left after each round.

Speed Interview Procedure ØEvery round is only 1 minute. Ø There will be 3 beeps Ø 1 st Begin thinking (15 seconds) Ø 2 nd Begin speaking (45 seconds) Ø 3 rd - Round finished (60 seconds total) ØEach round has an interviewer and an responder. Ø Responder must answer the question Ø Interviewer will help the responder by asking for more information.

Test Round Sample response: “My favorite food is samgyeopsal. It is a Korean dish made from pork belly. It is the same meat as what is used in bacon. The meat is cut into small pieces, grilled on a grill plate, and usually eaten with a lettuce wrap or other vegetables. I really like this food because it was one of the first Korean dishes my husband introduced me to. I could not believe the taste – it was too good! Now whenever I eat this, I feel really happy and always think about that time. ”

Reminder!! (Being Specific) q. BE SPECIFIC ü I like dancing. I have been dancing since childhood. I like to dance salsa and hip-hop. I’ve been dancing for since I was 6 years old. ü I worked in a bank I was a bank teller at ABC Bank for 5 years. ü I worked retail From 2011 -2013, I worked in retail at 2 different stores.
Reminder!! (Providing Examples) q. PROVIDE EXAMPLES ü I think dancing is fun Dancing is exciting to me. For example, whenever I dance, I feel like I have no worries in the world. It gives me energy. ü I didn’t enjoy working at the bank Banking wasn’t enjoyable to me because I had to stand for long hours, so my back hurt a lot. Also, I like talking to different people, but I worked drive through, so I didn’t get to interact with customers that much. ü I did different things in the store Even though I sold clothes, I had different duties. For example, I rang up customers on the cash register, but I also organized the displays. That part of my job was really fun.

New Information!! (Mirroring) v. Example 1 Person A: My friends say I’m a pretty logical person. Person B: Logical? Person A: Well, I like solving problems, and I’m good with numbers. v. Example 2 Person A: I got A’s and B’s in all my classes, but I got straight As in my computer classes. Person B: Computer classes? Person A: That’s right. My school offered several classes in computer programming. I took them all.
