UNIT 8 Landforms caused by glacial modelling Cirque A cirque is a broad concave depression at the head of a glacier valley, where snow accumulates and the glacier forms. The cirque is caused by the erosive action of the ice mass on the surrounding slopes, which causes the depression to widen and cuts and sharpens the peaks around it. GO BACK Biology and Geology 4.
