Computers What is a computer? The word computer used to mean a person who computes. In current language, a computer is any device used to process information according to a well-defined procedure.
A computer is a machine that can be programmed to interact (互相作用) with a user. Actually, I think this definition is more accurate and appropriate: A computer is made up of the central processing unit (CPU), the hard drive, random access memory (RAM) and I/O devices, and can process data through the stored programs.
