I. Adjectives and adverbs Exercise 1: Change the adjectives into adverbs. Then use the adverbs to complete the sentences. Adjective Adverb extremely good happy sad slow well happily sadly slowly

II. Adverb clauses of reason (as, because, since) Example: I can’t go to the movies. It is raining. I can’t go to the movies because it is raining. I can’t go to the movies as it is raining. I can’t go to the movies since it is raining. Exercise 2: Join the pairs of sentences together. Use because, as or since.

III. Adjective + that clause: Example: My parents are pleased. I do well at school. My parents are pleased that I do well at school. - That clause/ Noun clause can be use with adjectives expressing emotion, anxiety, confidence : pleased, excited, sorry, disappointed, amazed, afraid, glad. . . Exercise 3: Complete the dialogues. Use the words in brackets.
