3. Why does he do this in the moonlight? He does this to make sure that when the moon is shining bright, they will be able to see the stones. 4. How do Hansel and Gretel find their way home? They followed the white stones home.

5. Why do Hansel and Gretel get lost the second time? They can’t find any of the pieces of bread they dropped on the ground (because the birds may have eaten the bread).
