Transfer Task PART 1 – Argumentative Research In a team of 3 -5 others, you will collaborate to identify and research an academic or real-world problem, question, or issue. Conduct initial research identifying approaches, perspectives, or lenses, and divide responsibilities among group members for individual research. Each member of the team will analyze the issue through a particular perspective (e. g. , Marxist, feminist, cultural and social, artistic and philosophical, political and historical, environmental, economic, scientific, futuristic, ethical). Each student will create an individual argument which uses research to support a claim about the perspective researched. All sources must be acknowledged and cited through a correctly formatted Works Cited page.

Collaboratively, consider various perspectives, develop and evaluate options and alternatives, propose a plausible conclusion or solution. Consider your audience, purpose, and situation as you transform and deliver this information in an 8 -10 minute presentation (e. g. , documentary film, Google Slideshow, Podcast, TV News Magazine, Power. Point or Prezi, etc. ). Any sources used must be acknowledged and attributed.

Generate a topic. Your topic must be able to be analyzed from multiple perspectives. Each group member will focus only on his or her assigned perspective related to the topic. For example, if your topic is embryonic stem cell research, members may focus research around the following: Member A: The morality of the issue (ethical) Member B: The process/procedures of the issue (scientific) Member C: The costs associated with the issue (Marxist) Member D: The legality/background of the issue (political/historical) Important Note: Your argument must move to a solution or conclusion related to your topic.
