�An open-loop system is a control system that does not have a feedback loop

�An example would be a mobile phone. The loop begins when the phone rings

The phone will then continue to transmit with that satellite until disconnected by human operation. Because the phone is unable to turn itself off after the necessary functions have been performed, it is an open loop. Example
