Greece • Polis- city-states, small countries to themselves, controlled their area. • The mountains caused this because it was hard for city-states to connect. • Direct democracy- Citizens gather together to discuss topic, Citizens Vote, Majority is what is enforced • Alexander the Great- Conquered the Persian Empire. Greek culture and language was spread. People continued with Greek culture after he died.
