Why Engineering Drawings? Engineering drawing is a formal and precise way of communicating information about the shape, size, feature and precision of physical objects. n Drawing is the universal language of engineering. n 3

Engineering Drawing Objectives of the unit: n 1 Be able to sketch engineering components n 2 Be able to interpret engineering drawings that comply with drawing standards. n 3 Be able to produce engineering drawings n 4 Be able to produce engineering drawings using a computer aided drafting (CAD) system. 4
