What is SOP: • Set of written instructions that document a routine or repetitive activity followed by an organization. • An SOP is a procedure specific to your operation that describes the activities necessary to complete tasks in accordance with industry regulations, provincial laws or even just your own standards for running your business. • SOP is the step by step production line procedures used to make products as well train staff.

SOP Format: • Header ( Title, SOP number and so on) • Body ( Purpose, Scope, Responsibility, Procedure, Documentation) • Footer • Attachment
Master scheduling: § The process where the master schedule is generated and reviewed and adjustments are made to the master production schedule to ensure consistency with the production plan. § The master production schedule (the line on the grid) is the primary input to the material requirements plan.
A master production schedule may be necessary for organizations to synchronize their operations and become more efficient. An effective MPS ultimately will: • Give production, planning, purchasing, and management the information to plan and control manufacturing. • Tie overall business planning and forecasting to detail operations[. • Enable marketing to make legitimate delivery commitments to warehouses and customers • Increase the efficiency and accuracy of a company's manufacturing • Rough cut capacity planning
Types of Master Schedule: • Master Demand Schedule – This includes an input of actual product descriptions that are uprightly demanded of. • Master Production Schedule – This type of master schedule is dependent upon the previous type since production would also depend upon demand of goods and products.
