Unionville Ice Hockey Club (UIHC) UCSFD Health and Safety Plan UCFSD released H&S plan was approved by the school board on August 3 rd Ø Interscholastic competition to occur Ø General precautions to be enforced – distancing, masks, etc. Ø Practices designed to minimize close contact Ø Attendance records kept for all games and practices for contact tracing if needed Ø Virtual team meetings – no team dinners Ø Report all illnesses – return to play protocol for COVID Ø No spectators per PIAA and CCHD guidance
Unionville Ice Hockey Club (UIHC) Governor Wolf “When it comes to school and youth sports, Pennsylvania guidance is that they shouldn’t be played until Jan. 1”, Gov. Tom Wolf said Thursday. Following Wolf’s comment made at the end of a news conference, the Pennsylvania Department of Health and Department of Education jointly recommended that pre-K through 12 th grade school and recreational youth sports be postponed.
Unionville Ice Hockey Club (UIHC) Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletics Association (PIAA) PIAA is the governing body for interscholastic school sponsored sports in PA Ø PIAA does not have any direct authority over hockey, ICSHL is the governing body for HS Boys and Girls hockey Ø However, UCFSD will generally follow the guidance of the PIAA Ø On August 7 th, PIAA released a statement countering Gov. Wolf’s recommendation to suspend sports until Jan. 1, 2021 Ø “The Board believes that the Governor’s strong recommendation to delay sports to January 1, 2021 has a potential negative impact on the students’ physical, social, emotional, and mental health. ” Ø Recommends schools to follow their Health and Safety Plans
Unionville Ice Hockey Club (UIHC) Inter County Scholastic Hockey League (ICSHL) Ø ICSHL meeting June 23 rd – Full season is planned. Normal with exception of COVID precautions and limited spectators Ø Next meeting August 18 th
Unionville Ice Hockey Club (UIHC) USA Hockey and AAHA (Atlantic District) Ø Ø Ø Follow all federal, state and local government guidelines Avoid overlaps in schedules Personal hydration, distancing, masks, hand sanitizing, equipment cleaning Temperature screening and health questionnaire prior to each event Maintenance of attendance records Game Protocol: Ø Home team provides hand sanitizer Ø Coaches are masked on the bench Ø No handshakes – blue line stick tap
Unionville Ice Hockey Club (UIHC) Iceline Ø Currently no spectators and only limited seating in the Goal Line Pub Ø Live Barn installed on every rink Ø Self screening prior to arrival Ø Single directional flow to enter and exit Ø Masked to enter facility, social distance, hand sanitizer, personal hydration Ø Enter no more than 15 minutes prior to scheduled ice time Ø 12 U and under to arrive fully dressed The Barn Ø Live Barn installation being planned Ø Temperature checks upon entry Ø 25 person limit (players and coaches) in rink at any one time Ø Looking to have 2 ice slots for MS/Girls practice to limit numbers and allow adequate locker room space

ID through UCFSD – new deadline of August 24 th Update USA Hockey membership - will need current USA Hockey # to register Any new players may need copy of birth certificate to be 'verified' Coaches - make sure certifications, etc are current as well as UCFSD requirements - will need to register on site so that can collect info
